Green Collar Technology Workers will benefit from a smarter utility grid on Hawai`i Island. The costs are expensive where an average of 15 folks per square mile pay for electrical services. But let's not make this an option. At a time when infrastructure build-out is on the minds of nearly everyone in County government, let's seize this opportunity to raise awareness.

How could HECO / HELCO can help support higher-speeds and proliferate faster connections to the web?

In the past few decades, American lawmakers, citizens and businesses are exploring various ways to "go green," with hopes of preserving the earth's natural resources and our standard of living.
