The purpose of the Sustainability Association of Hawaii (SAH) is to help businesses and families make wise use of resources. SAH fosters ideas and helps implement solutions to conserve, protect and recycle resources while promoting the sustainability of a healthy society. Members of SAH benefit from the collective efforts of a network of businesses and individuals. Members will receive practical solutions that make economic sense while staying true to the vision of a sustainable future. Global and local realities have raised the stakes for sustainability. Clearly, now is the time for action and we all must be part of the solution. Please join us. Together, we will be a powerful resource that benefits all of Hawaii and the generations to come.
When Glenn Martinez and his wife Liz opened their farm in Waimänalo over a decade ago, Glenn knew he would farm organically. What he couldn't have fathomed is how his farm would evolve over that decade, seamlessly aligning with the principles of Permaculture. And not by luck, mind you. Glenn is an articulate, mechanically minded, forward-thinking famer and stands by his convictions of education and hard work. It s no accident Olomana Gardens is leading the charge in Hawaii for aquaponics, one of the smartest and most sustainable ways to farm organically.
